Knife gate valve is a linear-stroke, positive-sealing shut-off valve. Its core component is a flat gate with a sharp cutting edge, which moves perpendicular to the medium flow direction. It relies on the shearing action of the gate to cut off media containing particles, fibers, or viscous substances. With no conventional gate valve cavity, the valve features an ultra-thin structure and a full-bore flow path, specifically designed for clog-prone media such as slurry, pulp, slag, dust, and wastewater.
