The gate valve is a shutoff valve that controls the flow of pipeline media through the vertical movement of the gate. Its core component is a wedge-shaped or parallel gate, which is driven by the valve stem to move up and down to achieve the full open or full closed state of the valve.
The most prominent feature of the gate valve is its full-diameter design and reliable shutoff performance. When the valve is fully opened, the gate is completely retracted into the upper part of the valve body to form a flow channel consistent with the diameter of the pipeline, minimizing fluid resistance. Its sealing surface adopts a metal-to-metal or soft sealing structure, achieving strict isolation in the closed state.
Gate valves are widely used in various industrial pipeline systems requiring reliable shut-off. They serve as main shutoff valves in oil and gas pipelines, chemical plants for process media isolation, power station steam circuits, and urban water supply networks.

The gate valve adopts a flow channel structure with the same diameter as the pipeline. When opened, the valve plate is completely separated from the medium flow path, forming a nearly unobstructed straight-through flow channel. This design significantly reduces pressure loss and is particularly suitable for large-flow conveying systems.
Effective sealing can be achieved on both sides of the gate valve plate without being restricted by the flow direction of the medium. The symmetrical sealing structure design ensures consistent sealing performance when installed in either direction, providing flexible layout options.
