The general state is closed, the elbow diaphragm is closed to the inner cavity of the valve, closing the path of the pipeline.
By toggling the handwheel or driving the actuator, the valve stem moves upward and the spherical diaphragm bends upward. This puts the valve in a conductive state for cleaning or opening. The diaphragm separates the inner cavity of the lower valve body from the upper valve cover, protecting internal parts from corrosion and preventing leakage. The optimized design ensures cleaning fluid is drained completely without stagnation.
